The strength of men

Everyone walks around with a veil
Hiding away their ordeal
People can act and put on a show
You know only what they let you know
You would be taken away by surprise
The strength of men is hard to surmise

How a little girl can hold her head high
And how a little boy will never say die
The eye won't blink at the biggest lie

You wonder how someone's seen it all
Yet undeterred he never admits fall
He gathers himself every day
And shows you life was meant to be lived this way
And you want to believe you can do it too
Wish someone held you and walked you through

And even if you walk alone you shall see
The silver lining over the grays that be
The destination awaits at the end of your journey

  1. btw, stumbled upon this:

Our life is prewritten, every breath is planned.
We're just the actors. Exchangeable till the end.
There's nothing we can change, you say.
    But destiny means nothing.
    Abandon can be so addictive.
We must be strong. Lean against the wind.
    Struggle through, to the place
    where everything seems moving.
Where our love can stand the test of time.
When it makes sense to offer you the last swallow of wine.
