The sands of time have frozen
The wind has faltered at its task
Can I hold this moment forever?
Can I hold it, I ask.
But soon it begins
On its journey so long
And I am left behind
It beckons me to come along
I cannot chase it
My legs are too weak
I cannot descry it
My eyes are too meek
Its leaving me
Like water that hands give away
The harder you try to hold it
The faster it slips away
And soon I am left behind
In this universe of the past
Where the night of eternity has just begun
And the sun has breathed its last.
